Howdy, 1st post and I apologize if this has been discussed I'm still learning how to use the site , have found some info in old threads from 2014 but not what im looking for. Could someone offer info about getting transport tags for campers , not the single trip valid for a few days permit but the actual plate that you can transfer between different campers for transport, my local dmv has been less than helpful and I'm getting mixed info if anyone has gotten them in PA. And could share some knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. Or even point me to old thread that has the info. Thanks

PA issues dealer transporter tags which are difficult to get. They require a physical piece of commercial property that the state will send an officer out to inspect, insurance and a contract with at least one registered dealer before they will issue the tags.
It is easiest to get transporter tags in Oregon, Arizona or North Carloina as those states allow, or did allow last I checked, non-resident businesses to order the tags.
For Pennsylvania you need to read Publication 458 to see the full qualifications for transporter tags. Not all tag agents can assist you, often it requires several calls to the dealer services bureau in Harrisburg or even a trip to Harrisburg.

I made a few trips long ago with transporte tags ...but they were from the company...Be I had problems at may weigh and state inspection check points...
It was always like everyone was having their first day and no one had ever heard of this....They wanted to see the registration...They are not registered to any one they are being shipped to dealers...or between dealers...Never heard of such a thing...got to be registered to someone...Who?...who are they tilted to.?
....I had to bring all of my paperwork in they made lots phone calls...RVs and Trucks...as a contractor....Decked trucks or singles...but RVs was the worst ...And yes I was legal each time and had all of right paperwork too...Lite bug Thanks this.
