RIP - I always wondered about the ability of those silos to hold that much weight.

is it normal for any driver to get out, while the loading/unloading takes place?

RIP driver, way too young to die.

Coffey, mjd4277, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes, You gotta get out, your trailer has an air gauge that you watch to tell them to shut off the grain flow to be “legal” on weight.

Cowboyrich, Bud A. and buddyd157 Thank this.

The aluminum roof of the cab on my ‘67 Pete has dents from butt cheeks and knees from some of the drivers my Uncle had on the truck during it’s life. Back in the day they would climb up on the roof of the cab at the silos to watch the level of the loading in the Wilson.

Metal ones can blow over in wind, and rust out too.

Pretty often your standing on the ladder on the nose loading yourself. This happen more than some would think.

Coffey, MTN Boomer and buddyd157 Thank this.
