I’ve already obtained my class a cdl through a 160 hr accredited school, and live in Alabama, but have found some OTR companies I’m looking at in Arkansas and other states do not really worried about traveling just gaps.

160 hr. school is a good choice.
Lots of companies hire new cdl school grads from Alabama.
Get the hazmat endorsement; probably use it pulling reefers and dry vans with freight such as paint, fingernail polish, etc. -

Here's a company that runs Midwest & Southeast and hires 21 yr. old drivers.
The company is headquartered in Norfolk, VA but hires drivers in Alabama.
Hauls produce to military bases.
1 year of truck driving experience is preferred but Class A CDL graduates are also welcome.
