Wow! I am quite aware of the strict policies most large mining companies have about heavy equipment and requesting approach, overtaking, etc. This is covered in the on-site orientation / safety briefing every visitor must have before entering site. Someone wasn't following some rule. Always sad when this type of thing happens.

One such event 3 years ago in a gold mine in Nevada killed the safety manager and a new employee when their van was run over by a 340 ton capacity haul truck. Seven other new employees on the orientation escaped because they were in the back part of the van. I cannot fathom how this can occur. You ALWAYS have to bring your A game to a mining operation.

There are a variety of 'stainless steel' formulas out there and some are quite strong.
The F594 in my user name is my own little inside joke. That's the ASTM spec for the fasteners my designs used in corrosive environments. So basically yeah... I'm the nut that manages to hold things together in toxic situations...lololol

Cashier: Ma’am, this line is closed.
Karen : I only have a few items.
Cashier: If I let you in, I have to let in others in.

(Karen directs her husband to put their buggy in front of mine. This fool obeys)

Six: The line starts back there (points).
Karen : I only have three things in my buggy.
Six: Irrelevant. Get to the back of the line. (I had 4 things, but that isn’t the issue, is it?)

(Karen has this shocked but thirst look on her face, but she and her husband move. Some guy behind me chimes in)

Guy: Ma’am, you can get in front of me.
Karen: Thank you sir. You are a nice man. That guy is an A Hole. He doesn’t have a mask on yadda yadda yadda...(tuned them out)

I am trying to be a better person, and for decades have went by the golden rule. But now, I wonder if the golden rule is still relevant today.
