Most a the time you can see the spray off your own tires but depending on lighting sometimes ya can't. So yea watch vehicles in your own lanes of travel. It's ok to watch traffic goin the other way too but your direction of travel obviously is more important to you.

We have the problem in our volvo of keeping the side windows de fogged on the inside. High defrost is only thing that works for both. The passenger dash vents can't be aimed at passenger window enough to keep it clear.

Turning on your A/C will dry take the humidity out of the air and make it easier to keep the windows clear on the inside.

I had a method of trying to avoid being passed and staying way back behind the truck in front of me...which is doable during a storm during hours of light traffic.I went on a RainX kick everything...wiper blades, fluid and frequently shining windshield with it. Being able to see well and have safe brakes was top priority.

In the multitude of masculinity that is TTR, I will freely admit to being the twenty third person who has actually stopped his truck, got out, and has actually touched to road surface in order to gauge how slick or how safe it is to drive on.

Just be sure to choose a safe place to pull over and stop.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I've thought about doing that. Always just watched for spray and icing on mirror backs and antennas. Have walked around at like a rest area or fuel stop to see how slick it was. Plus i keep an eye on current temps an stuff.

Keeping windows clean is going to help with this as well as using the A/C to remove humidity. You can also wax the inside door glass (do not do the windshield inside) to cut down on fogging.
