Shotguns in the truck

Don't know about the legal issues or convenience problems w a shotty but nothing grabs the attention like the universal sound of a 12 pump chambering a round.

 

I carry a Winchester pump 20 gauge with a 14 inch barrel and folding tactical stocks with pistol grip in the back pocket of my passenger seat. I keep it unloaded and put the ammo in the sleeper so it's out of reach while I'm driving to comply with the laws in the few western states that I drive in the most. If I ever get pulled over by the cops, the first thing I do is place the unloaded gun on my bunk and only tell them I have it if they ask to do a search. Otherwise I keep my mouth shut. The only reason I carry it was because of the riots in California, Portland and Seattle which is where I spend most of my time driving.

 

There is no universally acceptable firearm that is allowed in all lower 48 states without some sort of permitting in one of those states. It's a shame, but it's the truth.

Those dickwads are so busy yelling about stuff that doesn't matter you could practically sneak up on them with a bulldozer lol.

Just keep it in hidden spot and say nothing. In nine years of driving, I've never been searched.
