Liquid surge is worse in food grade than fuel. Hauling fuel I got compartments and baffles don’t feel it move much but be careful around curves.

Depends if you're talking from a stance of a O/O or company driver. There's still good companies out there to work for that pay well and aren't run like the 3rd reich. I can't speak much to the way of rates etc.

How many round trips do you make a day . I saw a fuel hauler go inside a truck stop while dumping off unleaded, sounds shady to me

The driver left the load running while he went inside? At most places I know of that would have been his last load.

The rates haven't kept pace with costs but I think they're still better than dry freight or most kinds of flatbed.
We got into fuel brokering last year, mostly out of curiosity, and the profit margin for anybody except the refiners is small enough that you have to really pay attention.

I can imagine. I think the margin will get more and more razor thin as time goes on and home heating oil companies begin to further diversify their business with heating oil being on the decline.

Cat sdp and REO6205 Thank this.
