if you save up another 10k and sign on under another company you can make it work. just pick the right truck. i would try to find an old owner operator that is selling their truck because they are retiring. i had zero class a experience bought a truck cash took loan on a trailer and got my own authority.

$10k is 1 repair bill these days.
Do you know what fuel costs? You'll probably burn $6k in fuel in the first month. Some places you might have to wait 30-90 days to get paid.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Yes know how much my average fuel cost is and estimate it at $5k-$6k a month but I'll always use the higher number. Thanks!!Skibum19614106 Thanks this. -

I would lease unless it's a really good deal. You'll definitely want at least 20k in reserves between cash and credit.

Don’t buy a truck without a dyno/blowby, full ECM dump, oil analyst of all fluids and a good mechanical inspection.
And ... a DOT inspection is the worst type of inspection, it isn’t a good enough inspection to purchase a truck, just to meet minimal standard.Tai'ja Jones and magoo68 Thank this. -
Keep in mind a large percentage of trucks need a pricey dpf canister around 750 k to a million .
Skibum19614106 and Tai'ja Jones Thank this.
