I’m also 6’6” and been hauling fuel for the last year and a half with absolutely no problems in a Pete 579 day cab. My terminal manager is even bigger than me, and he did it for decades.

Coming from a short guy, (5'5") I'd rather be tall and a lil cramped then short and can't reach ####! The same problem happens outside the cab try loading hoses in and out of tubes that you have to reach above your head for.

A friend worked at Chevron as a driver. He had to be 6'6" +. A Chevron safety walked by when he had the door open and banned him from driving it due to poor ergonomics. His knees were half way up the sides of the steering wheel. Older Peterbilt I think. Since he was union they moved him to being a plant operator instead of letting him go. Newer trucks have more room.
I'm only 6'1" but as a heads up pay close attention to the ergonomics of the job. You'll use a lot of stabilizing/connecting muscles to work those hoses and it's easier to get hurt than you'd think.

i know a midget in Peoria, that can see over the dashboard, with his new air seat.

Been hauling fuel for two years, we have big guys that are 6'5' and over, they run Kenworth T880 day cabs and have plenty of room and no complaints other then the automatic transmissions.
