Yeah those rules haven’t been enforced for decades or more. Police very rarely monitor ch 9 anymore
With Twitter and Parler restrictions happening,

Hams police their turf, and Uncle Charley(FCC) occasionally goes after a flagrant violator.
You used to have to get a license for CB, too. -
Yup, CB licenses were $20 before the CB explosion happened. Then they reduced the licence fee to $4. Eventually the FCC gave up since they couldn't keep up with the license applications pouring in. Today the FCC doesn't care about the rules. It is obviously evident by listening to the truck drivers cussing every time they talk. And don't forget the so called illegal radios on channel 6. If that doesn't get the attention of the FCC, nothing will.

you should listen to what goes on ... it sometimes is a lot worse than cb.Tall Mike, Highwayman1224 and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
I thank my overly curious and inventive son for discouraging me from getting a ticket, and I'm no longer interested in the hobby.
I let plant security use my Uniden handheld because they couldn't keep a Cobra 29 working, and, they're still using it. I couldn't figure out the 29, either. -

Well, from what I understand, these stations are running with several thousand watts of power. I have no idea if this is true, but it sure seems like it is. The next time the skip is rolling, just give a listen if you have a CB radio. Lots of times they peg my radios meter, which makes me think it could be true. 4 watts is suppose to be the legal limit on AM. -
Timin770 Thanks this.

Unfortunately in Ontario you can take your drivers exam in numerous languages. Hindu’s quite popular as well as Vulcan so CB,s pretty quiet, not a peep last night over
450 miles.
