Tarping just comes from experience. Everybody sucks at it at first. But just ask yourself when ur staring at ur tarp not knowing how to tuck something just ask this simple question. "What will the wind do to this piece?". Then when u have ur answer u follow up with a question of " what can i do to the tarp to keep the wind from effecting it?" . Then you go down the side of ur trailer and repeat the same process . Me personally i like to button up the front and the back first because i feel it helps get the sides nice and tight. ... u make adjustments along the trip if u need to.. Its rare im not throwing a couple extra bungees somewhere on a cross country trip to keep the tarp out of the wind..... It really is all personal preference how u do it... I bet all of us in here do it a bit differently ... i know ive seen other flatbedders go down the road and i say to myself , i like how he did that, im gonna try that next time... but just think about how the wind is going to hit the tarp and it will start to make more sense as u do it more often
