what is the max torque can you get in a cat c15?
-
Its all relative. CAT will only bump it up to 1850, possibly 2050. You can put out double that if you know what goodies to put in it.
singlescrewshaker, Trucker61016, lester and 3 others Thank this. -
My friend this summer did have a C15 rebuilt with all Cat parts and C16 Cat tune.
825 hp at 1,600 rpms with 3,079 ft/lbs tq at 1,200 rpms on the dyno.
Only 36 psi boost to achieve that.Last edited: Jan 14, 2021

I can't imagine how an engine with more displacement could make more torque, and due to a mathematical equation also make more horsepower due to V8's revving higher. What a quandary. We may never solve this question.
