Driver killed when entangled in his equipment

A truck driver is dead by his own rig after an unfortunate event in Minnesota on Friday.

The accident happened on January 8th at around 5:20 p.m. at the 36000 block of County Road 186 in Melrose Township.

According to Bring Me The News Minnesota, 32-year-old Keith D. Kingsley was working with and driving a tractor trailer while sanitizing the inside of a turkey barn when he became “entangled and trapped” in the rig’s power take off (PTO) shaft.

Kingsley was pronounced dead on scene.

The incident is still under investigation.

 

Our woodshop teacher used to harp on this and one day got his tie caught in the wood lathe. Never lived it down.

 

The guy was a real jerk. This was back in the 60's when all teachers wore a tie. Still, for woodshop he should have tucked it into his shirt. Used to bring a thermos of coffee in every day. One day we spiked it with Exlax. He was furious. The next day he gave us a lecture and said nobody should ever touch his thermos. While pouring his next cup of coffee a golf ball rolled out. We lost it.
