Here is a reminder for everybody to not fight the wind. It is not ever worth it . the wind will kick ur ### whether ur loaded, empty, driving a pickup, a big rig. Dont matter. If it gets to windy then park!
This was on i90 in central south dakota. I got thru that blizzard area in sioux falls yesterday afternoon before they closed the road. Proceeded westbound thru some of the hardest winds ive ever experienced before. I ended up pulling off somewhere around exit 200 because i couldnt not even keep my truck on the road , gust after gust pushing me into the left lane with the steering wheel turned halfway to the right..... Winds was up around 55mph sustained with gusts around 75+......
Woke up this morning and continued westbound. These were all within 50 miles west of where i stopped ...... A total of 6 trucks in the ditch and 2 campers....be careful folks!!
Dont fight the wind!!
