In Kansas watching for Dorothy to land. On my way to Tremonton Utah.
Somewhere I'm going to have to avoid more high winds, I'm sure of it.
Is I70W west thru Denver to Col rt 9 north to US 40W a reasonable alternative?
Or 9 to 14 etc up to Wy 230? I've come down 230 to Saratoga and it seems decent.
    Input gratefully welcomed.....

Great!!! LOL. I'm missing that manly parts to drive in that nonsense. Rather stay parked and poor.
Your route looks good. Thanks. I'll leave when this dies down to a dull roar....

You talking about going through Walden? Those are some very small roads and not an advised route in the winter.

Bean Jr. and Qbf594 Thank this.

No problem, honestly most of those roads off 70 between Denver and Grand Junction are ill advised with the exception of going over Loveland Pass when you're haz-mat or the tunnels are closed. Not saying you can't take some of them, but they're fun.

40 in CO doesn’t look like it would be much fun in a truck.

I've been on 9. I somehow came down outta wyoming that way to a mine near silver thorne Colorado. If it's the same route 9 you're referring too then I'm here to tell ya it really a bad route especially in the winter.
