Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

I think it was a bad idea in the first place to give anyone any money. What will happen when the next slow down hits or another pandemic comes along. Will the people expect another helping? If a business cannot stay open without getting government assistance then they probably shouldn’t be in business to begin with. People need to learn to live off of less than they make it’s a pretty simple concept.

 

You forget that it was government who shut down businesses in the first place and messed everything up.
People would have been working and nobody was expecting any handouts. Let's not blame businesses now for the problem that government has created

So by government shutting down factories and such, resulting trucking companies lose tons of money, was it wrong for companies to take those PPP loans?

 

Maybe this needs to be a wake up call for some about their finances.

 

What somebody does with their business has nothing to do with me. I dont have a dog in the race .

 

It definitely should, but what would you do if your truck got taken away by the government and you were given money instead? Would you take that money or go work for $10hr, knowing that with that little money you will lose your house, your trailer and whatever else?
