I heard about using brake antifreeze, applied with a cloth or sponge on tires rolling surface, contains methanol mostly , chemically reacts with rubber , temporary makes the tire surface softer like winter tires better grip on ice. I never tried on tire, but i used a small amount in diesel years ago before was blended with bio, the idea was it removes water and prevents gelling but can damage rubber parts .

I keep a couple extra towels on the floor in front of my seat to wipe stuff down or sweep ice and junk out of the truck in the winter
If my truck gets stuck I just jam a towel in front of each of the drive tires on the driver's side, and drive over them.
Has worked every time I've needed to get unstuck.86scotty and YoungGAtrucker25 Thank this. -
What I ended up doing was rocking the truck back and forth
Eventually got out. Lesson learned.
Thanks -
Glad you got out. Keep yourself something under your bunk that will melt ice and I'd talk to your company about giving you some real tires in winter. -
