Is your birth certificate needed to get a permit? I know for the CDL license you have to bring it but wasn’t to sure on the permit. Recently moved and can’t find mine and with the whole covid all the buildings are closed so hopefully I can get one sent to me online and could start trucking school and get my permit.
Do you need your birth certificate to get your permit?

I wasn’t sure if I needed one to start school but just to be on the safe side I’ll hold off on school untill the new birth certificate comes in which should take anywhere from 18-20 days

For hazmat STA or TWIC card any identogo location can pull up birth certs onsite with a liittle extra (based on state) charge. Just need birth name and mother maiden name to be successful. And the Certify is held for future use in the identogo system, like you HME or TWIC renewals.
Birth Certify
as for the (B/D)MV ya proof of citizenship like naturallization/passport/birth certificate (or certified copy)
