Thank you. Apparently, it is not company wide. Just the bulk division as mentioned in previous posts. I could not imagine an entire ban on facial hair at any company

Here is one for you guys,
have a driver who has a long beard (down to his belt buckle) with a huge handlebar mustache, when I hired him he said it was a family tradition.
Before he went on the road, he came by my office to show me pictures of his family going back to the civil war, every one of them had a beard just like his. Sure enough, all the men (and I think a few women) has long beards.
so a couple years ago, he called the office and said he can’t deliver at this steel wire plant, it was next to a chemical processor and they would not allow him to enter the wire plant because of his beard, so we had to get another driver down to the plant to get the truck into the dock with him in the other truck one the side of the road. This wire plant has a no beard policy but when my manager talked to the owner of the place, he discovered that the owner has a policy because the chemical processor said they needed it but doesn’t have any of the safety equipment - respirators, because they were too expensive.Accidental Trucker, Beyondthehorizon987 and rachi Thank this. -
No has complained when I let mine grow out a bit.
Go forth and embrace your manly mane. It's not an easy climb, but your beard will see to the top brother

The osr and I went to tank school in Houston in same class.
So when he asked if I had a trailer for the ride along, I said yes, but didn’t mention I was loaded.
We made a right out of the gate, me easing into to pedal, we got to the red light to make a right and when I took off and made that turn you could start to feel the surge, he said, “You’re loaded?!”
“Yep.” Me.
“We’re not supposed to do this loaded!”
“Where’s the fun in going around town with an empty tank, enjoy the ride.” Me
We went around the roundabout and made it back to terminal.
He didn’t do anymore tests that day.
But I got a “write up” for not joining up the Schneider way, to which the VP of bulk just happened to be in the terminal, I got him out there and explained my way was safer.
They do Slap/PaL
I dolly down, do airlines, then pin, but hooking I’ll back under, hook, check arm is latched, then duck under to make sure jaws closed all the way, then dolly up, then hook airlines.
I explained the way they do it, is why I’ve personally seen 2 guys take off dragging dolly legs, one got hung on RR at Reserve, LA.
The VP told him not to write that against me, as long as I had a system.
Seemed like an ok guy.Last edited: Jan 21, 2021
