This produce shipper in Yuma AZ make drivers wait while themselves waiting for the product to arrive at their warehouse to be loaded and shipped?

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

It’s called fresh produce least that’s what a shipper told me years ago after asking why it’s been 12 hrs. You gotta be careful and probe that stuff some places load it hot and reefer might not cool it enough to keep tattle tales happy.

    truckdriver31 and SoulScream84 Thank this.

What I’m expecting is, when I arrived on time, at least the product was in the warehouse palletized ready to be ship, unfortunately, that’s very far being the case. At least not all warehouse practice this kind of system so just have to suck it up this one.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

I'm not trying to be a Richard, but did you read any reefer information on the forums prior to taking a position?

I remember being sent to a place in Houston to pick up potatoes. After about 4 hours I was close to busting my 14. I walked up to the shipping office and told them I was leaving. I made it to a place I knew to take my 10 with about 10 minutes left. I was taken off that load and went up to Lufkin and got loaded the next day. The answer to the actual question is well sometimes they do. I have seen mouthy drivers made to wait. It happens.

truckdriver31, baha and SoulScream84 Thank this.

You know the folks loading get paid for every minute your time they waste. I have always been paid for any delays loading/unloading, its sort of a thing of mine...
