Thanks, running empty on ice with a gas can is the sign of an idiot. This is who is driving our gas tankers today?

Most impressive. More impressive near the end of the vid the driver can be seen coming toward slower traffic.

 

Not bad. Guy knew exactly what he was doing. Brake to slow down the combo as long as you can, then let off and get the trailer back in line at the last second. Same thing we had to do on the lease roads in Colorado. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the roads aren't always sunshine and marshmallows, and stuff has to get from A to B.

Perhaps, but an empty gas can is a bomb of vapor on wheels. In this situation, I'd pull over and wait for the salt shaker, 4 wheelers fuel be darned!
