    Seriously, no strings attached, if you drive for Knight or Knight Refrigerated, and we are stuck in the same place, let me buy you lunch (dinner, whatever...) I would love to meet some of the guys and gals that write on this board and who suffer, oops, drive for the same company that I do!
    This weekend, I'm stuck at the Olive Branch terminal. Please introduce yourself and let's break bread together!

    I never said it had to be a good meal! Pilot has 2 hot dogs for $2, 1 for me, 1 for you! ;-)
    like Billy Joel said "drinking with strangers is better than drinking alone". Sometimes it's nice to have a conversation over a meal.
    Shoot Jim, I would even treat you to lunch if we ever in the same place at the same time. :)

    jtrnr1951 Thanks this.

    I just had a real good meal with another Knight driver in Marianna,FL the other night. If I don't get off the east coast pretty soon, I'm gonna need someone to buy me a meal...:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25522:

    Right now, still early in the decision-making process, I'm leaning heavily toward working for Knight Transportation. What I'm looking for is responses for Knight drivers with more than 5 years with the company. If you're out there, please tell me why you've stayed with them for 5 years (or more).

    2 problems with your post;
    1. Good luck finding anyone that has been with Knight that long! I've been here 11 months and I cant get out of here fast enough!
    2. The drivers that HAVE beed here that long have expressed the same feelings. They will tell you that this IS NOT the same company that it was when they started! No one that I've talked to knows for sure, but they tell me there has been a paradigm shift in the last few years. The company doesnt about the people anymore, profit is there only consideration, so I've been told and experienced myself!

    JustSonny Thanks this.

    Thanks TruckerDave. I guess your feelings are borne out by the lack of responses to the request I made. You are the one and only responder so far. A shift from people to profit is bound to have a short term, "bandaid effect" only. The bottom line might look good for a while but sooner or later (probably sooner) the true origin of profit, that is,
    contented, hardworking, dedicated PEOPLE will shake them out of their misconceptions.
