DD60 Refusing to start, fuel entry issues.

Check valve - behind the ECM?

 

There is a check valve in the fuel return, on line from back of head.
Something is letting fuel siphon back into tanks.
Try turning off the valve by the fuel filter as soon as you shut it off, see if it helped,
The check valve is less than $100, I would change it, very simple if you can reach it.

There is also a check valve at the inlet of the Davco filter housing that can be problematic if it has that set up?

 

Never heard of that.

S60 is at the back of the head?

I best just see myself out. I’m trying to remember all the issues my buddy had between a S60 and N14 fuel issues with neglected tore up trucks!

 

Old man posted a diagram. As far as I know, the fuel pump has on built in. Might be one on the fuel tank shutoff valve, but I think it’s more of an equalizer valve.

 

The only way I know of, to check for sucking air, is to pressurize tanks, and check lines for leaking. I need to do mine, since I have tell tale bubbles in tanks. They also use temporary clear hoses to see air in lines, under operation. I’ve never done either. But suspect My shutoff valve is sucking air.
