Hello,
So I have a truck that's been giving me non-stop fuel problems. The main issue is that the engine stalls out if the truck has been sitting for an extended period of time because fuel is running out in the primary fuel filter, despite the truck having a ton of fuel. I keep getting told there is air in the system but I'm not sure how to suck the air out or prime the engine without using ether, as I already used a lot the previous year. Any ideas?

Check valve - behind the ECM?
p608, Rideandrepair and cke Thank this. -
There is a check valve in the fuel return, on line from back of head.
Something is letting fuel siphon back into tanks.
Try turning off the valve by the fuel filter as soon as you shut it off, see if it helped,
The check valve is less than $100, I would change it, very simple if you can reach it.blairandgretchen and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

There is also a check valve at the inlet of the Davco filter housing that can be problematic if it has that set up?
blairandgretchen and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
