Is there anyone who can give me tips on how to bid on a driveway job? How to factor in a hauling rate and write up a bid for a job? Thank you in advance, I am a nursing student trying to help with a Dump truck business doing the computer and paperwork. Thank you again.

What are you doing on the job?
Are you simply hauling Stone to the contractor, are you the contractor, are you just laying stone, are you Excavating and laying stone, or are you Excavating laying Stone and Paving?S.V.Buyck Thanks this. -

If you are working on a drive that's got something down on it and just chaining off the tailgate and putting it down then spreading it out with a bucket is one price, having to scrap off all the top soil till you find some dirt that you can fill in with rock then cover it with stone is a higher price so you or co. man must go look at job to price it out so co. does not lose money?

Does anyone have a template that they use to give quotes on paper? I mean is it good enough to just something along the lines as loads 60-ton #3 then put the number of loads the cost and the total?

4 hours minimum for the dump truck, the bobcat, and the roller (one ton too if you can’t get it all on a tag)
25% on the material, crew rate is I believe ~$4500 a day if you rather not break it downstuckinthemud Thanks this.
