I see a lot of threads on getting hired after bad decisions but few on which companies to look at if you have a good record.
It seems to me some of the companies Ive been considering, mostly due to reading this forum, are second chance companies. Nothing wrong with second chances but Ive been at companies that hire felons and after DUI and it seems theres an underlying current of taking advantage of drivers who have no other options.
The mega Im with now I have a GREAT manager but theres only so much that matters ( it does matter a lot, I know ) when everyone, him included, has to answer to the mega corporation.
Been back on the truck 10 months now. Two years out of the truck but had 4 years experience before that. I can manage my clock and deliver on time. I have Hazmat/tanker, TWIC, clean license, passport and 2 year med card.
What are the good companies. Decent hometime, decent miles, good equipment, good pay/insurance, respectful dispatchers, no babysitting etc...
I hometime in NC. TIA
Clean license, No drugs, No felonies
