Police are investigating a shooting between a truck driver and two people in a pickup in Georgia on Monday morning.

The incident happened at around 9:45 a.m. on January 25th just south of Martinez, Georgia.

Officers say a semi truck and a white pickup pulled over on the side of westbound Interstate 20 near the Dyess Parkway exit and had an altercation.
At some point during the argument, officers believe the truck driver shot the two people in the pickup, and the altercation somehow ended up on the eastbound side of the highway.

The unnamed truck driver has since been arrested, and the two motorists were transported to a nearby hospital.

The incident is still under investigation, but a white pickup surrounded by crime scene tape at the investigation site could be seen with at least one bullet hole, CBS 12 reports.

    UPDATE:

The truck driver has been identified as 43-year-old Theondra Trimaine Ransom. They are being charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The two motorists have been identified as 52-year old Dean Brown Jr., the driver of the pickup, and 26-year-old Dean Brown III. One is in critical condition and the other has been stabilized, though it was not made clear which motorist is in what condition.

I would never pull over for a road rage incident. You never know what could happen, but I always fear it is something like this.

I was building a house once, and we were almost done when the husband died. Turns out, he got into a road rage situation. They started to fight, and he got hit and fell backwards. When he hit his head on the pavement, it killed him.

    Man, you just never know.

I know a kid paralyzed in a wheelchair since his early 20’s for the same reason. His attitude on fighting changed immediately. I don’t fight but I get close to it. Temper gets the better of me most times. Thanks Dad LOL

There was a similar situation not too far from where I lived in Illinois about 20 years ago. Two guys got into a fist fight and the one who instigated the fight hit the other guy who fell and hit his head on a concrete curb. He died at the hospital the next day. Originally the instigator was charged with aggravated assault and battery but when the other guy died the charges were upgraded to involuntary manslaughter. He was handed down a 15-20 year sentence.

Yeah, nothing good comes from stopping. Even if you beat the guy up he's still going to be stupid, and you may get in trouble.
