Is it possible to have access to previous day logs when using the Keep Truckin ELD. All I'm trying to do is "prove" days I worked/drove.

You can email yourself the last 8 days. I believe Keep Truckin has some website you can log into and get like past 6 months logs

Yes. Depending on who you're trying to prove it to depends on how you want to do it. You can screen shot it from you phone obviously or email it to yourself as Bandt said. The cab book should have the instructions per DOT regulation that you can thumb through but it's pretty easy.

Is this what most carrier/o/o's like and use? I am considering a newer truck.....I'm paper now.

I am fine with elog as carrier/o/o though.

It's the most popular one. It's pretty slick and easy to use. Customer service can be robots, they're ESL's mostly and give themselves american names. They have a lot of robotic replies, but they're always nice. I go through a gateway about every 6 months, they get real hot on the dash, you can smell them cook. It can't be near your radio or it'll mess the signal up some. I thought my mic went out everything was garbled. Moved it to center of dash and solved that issue, but then had the overheating issue. I moved my last one to a spot near the windshield pillar to get shade about half the time, then finally built a little cover out of cardboard to set up over it and painted it grey to match the dash. When I first started with them a few years ago they didn't tell me they had a "beginner" package at around 290 a year. I got the 550 or so a year deal. after my first year I realized they had a cheaper package and almost had to argue with them to get it, but I did. An OO imo doesn't need all that fancy junk in the higher package. I calculate my own IFTA stuff because the odometer doesn't work on the KT. It's never accurate, they blame the truck and it's not. I've proven it with new gateways. I don't rely on it, so I just jot down the odo everytime I cross a state line and figure it out by hand. I personally hate paperlogs, I have nothing to hide as I don't want/ need to drive more than 11/ work 14 anyway. It's insanely easy to do E-logs. The 2 main drawbacks to e logs- 1) the company you choose knows EVERYTHING about your truck and it's in a database somewhere. 2) elogs eliminate a lot of violations which is good, but bad because when you pull into the coop they know you're on elog. They can't spend time finding stuff there so now they dig into every other nook and cranny of the truck and trailer if that makes sense. But I run clean and legal so whatever. But they got me for a silly extinguisher violation (wrote a warning so all good) a few weeks ago that I know dang good and well they never would have seen had they been busy going through paper logs. The little plastic seal was missing. Eh, what?????

Yea I spoke with them briefly and I did let them know I do my own IFTA and that I will really just need the cheapest cheapest package.
