No. The little tire gets “dragged along” trying to keep up with the big guy. For an experiment mount a 22.5 beside a 24.5 and see what happens. Don’t ask me to replace the 22.5 when it wears out in one day. Seen it happen.

I posted an article that also supports what I have said and have seen where the bigger tire is carrying so much of the load that the tire will distort and overheat dramatically and then it will either self destruct or can cause a crazy wear pattern also.
At the end of the day both can have irregular wear patterns.God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
You will see the damage from the size irregularity almost immediately and without any weight. I’ve no doubt the added weight will create issues for the bigger overloaded tire.
