Just so you know, I respect the heck out of folks like you who can drive safely on such roads, throw a complete set of chains on in about 30 seconds and thread where I dare not. My trucking career will only be a few years. I am already semi-retired and drawing a partial retirement check. I still need some income, love to drive and travel and have a few adventures along the way. So, trucking is working out well for me so far. I started in August of 2019 at the Swift Academy and began solo, where things started to actually 'get fun' at the beginning of November 2019. My point is, I'll probably never make it to the level of skill, professionalism and trucking wisdom as yourself. But, I'm doing OK so far. My trucking mantra is " I will get the load delivered as efficiently and expeditiously as I safely and legally can."
Thank you for sharing your wisdom about winter driving characteristics. I hope I never need it, but glad it was given in case I do!!
