    Seen this out on the salt flats, the photo was taken by another driver that passed by a bit later.

    Just a quick question on the coil load.
    He appears to have the coil on the dunnage with no coil contact to the bed.Is that acceptable.
    Not judging just wondeing.Or maybe it's just the pic angle

    The coil load? You mean the slinkys? The problem with those is everything but the first two and last slinky has any securement at all. They're just sitting there waiting for inertia to pull them straight off.

    You never want a coil to touch the trailer. The dunnage and racks create a cradle for the coil to ride in.
