i only had to take p test at dht. used physical from previous company.

 

No, they don't play that game. A current DOT card is fine. I renewed mine in December of 2019 in my hometown. Went to work for them in March of 2020. They did send me for a pee test in Tucson about 4 days before I went to El Paso for Orientation. Many of the Megas want you to see their doctor at their clinic. Personally, I am uncomfortable with that scenario. There is NOTHING in the FMCSA or DOT rules and regulations that requires that. I see it as somewhat of a control issue. They get a copy of my long form. That is as close as I am willing to get to one of their "company doctors". Particularly Concentra! I'll go there for a pee test or random. Concentra will NOT perform my DOT Physical......EVER. There is a very crooked/corrupt incestuous relationship between them and large corporate employers all over this country.

 

Well that is good. Didn't know that about Concentra. Only prob I ever have at the doc is my bp wants to go up for some stupid reason
.white coat I guess. I get mine at my personal doc where I am most comfortable. Yea heard too many horror stories about mega docs.

 

Concentra is the mega of "Occupational Health" providers. Patient care and well being doesn't even crack the top 10 at that outfit. Had to deal with them for an on the job injury. There is major collusion between them, Workers comp insurance companies and the employers. Trust me, you could show up there holding your severed right hand in your left hand, and they would figure out a way that 6 or 8 physical therapy appointments at their IN HOUSE Physical therapy clinic would make you good as new. Absolutely scandalous operation!

 

It is really on par with the old time coal mining operations. Company Store, Company Housing, Company Doctor. Everybody but the Miners and their families made out in that situation. Absolutely no difference between the two.

 

This is good info will remember this for the future. Couple companies I worked for always was able to get my own at the family doc..

 

Dr needs to be a Certified DOT Medical Examiner nowadays. Don't know how long it been since your last DOT physical.
