Whats the average day like for a propane hauler? Bulk or bottle service. Kinda interested in it and what goes on.

I was pull into a road ck spot in R. turn lane of 4 lane hy. by dot, he just opened my door ck seat belt was on and yearly insp. on inside of door, he ask if I could follow inst. he was going to be yelling to me from back of truck, all was good and he asked if I would sit in ft. seat of his car as he had to use the printer in the dot car, we talked as the printer had to run every thing from wants from other states, he said the propane truck parked at end of turn lane was put out of ser. he said he pulled a cig. out of his pack and asked for a light from driver and he pulled a flip top one out of his pocket, and having anything that sparked was out of ser. for that propane truck?

Depends on what company your working for. And also where you live. If you in a area where its seasonal propane work, then you better hope they pull other products in that bottle to keep you busy.

If its a company that hauls things like butane, anhydrous ammonia, and propylene along with propane. Then they can keep you busy year round.

If its a company that sticks to propane only. Then you better hope the area is heavily dependent on propane.

I inquired recently with a company about hauling propane. Basically sounded like only a few of the guys they have, run propane full time. The other guys have to hook up to pnuematics , or haul logs, or whatever else is available when propane is slow.

I'm going back to fuel hauling. As long as you find a company that will have enough work to keep you busy in the winter, its a nice gig. It's about the easiest work you'll come across.
