Kinda curious how they expect them to get a valid CDL if they have no place of residence?

Only reason I go to TA is for showers and points. I refuse to pay for parking.

I’m less upset about the mask wearing as I am about being refused access to a bathroom. I went to a “inset fast food here” the other day and they had the bathroom blocked off so I just moved the table. Manager called out to me and I told her, “I am GOING to relieve myself. Either in THERE or on the floor HERE! You can choose which one you want to explain to the health department.” Although my language probably wasn’t that clean. And for their trouble, I didn’t buy anything and walked out.

It will guberment controlled. It's what the people that have never liked working want.
I'll be 70, so l won't have to deal with it. Should make for some interesting reading though.

    Another example of failure:

    Restaurant opens at 7, great.
By then 80% of the drivers are gone.
If the saw is, “most truckstops fill up at 4pm” then if guys are burning hard, they’ll leave at 2am. Or if your x hours from a given major city then you gotta figure guys will be leaving to get there by 7am. So opening at 7? You’ll only get locals and people looking for breakfast at 10. But your missing your potential core customer.

I’ve never run a restaurant, but one could argue that maybe you need to be open for two shifts.

    3am - 11am for breakfast/brunch and
    3pm - 11pm for dinner service.

With a 4 hour clean & prep shift between.

There was a coffee shop near me that was closed every time I went by
Finally one day I left later than normal and they were open.
I met the owner and asked why he was t open earlier
He said well. 7am works for us
I told him with the 1000,’s of cars going by at 4-5 am he needed to open at least by 5

he wasn’t so sure and it was only a few months before he was closed and bankrupt

I think it’s generous to lump this kind of poor management as a kind of benign, indifferent ignorance. To me, when combined with other experiences, it shows something darker: They seem to have a real, tangible, contempt for their customer base.

They probably huddle back in the kitchen, mocking and laughing at the customers.

Honestly, I'd bet that happens at regular restaurants too, and about every other buisness.

You're not wrong. Many's the time I've gone into a TA with one cashier trying to run the whole place...while three managers are hiding in the corner flapping their gums.
