I just got back from a trip to the Pacific Northwest after a 2-year layoff. I froze my nuts off and am not looking forward to going through that again. What about a small portable electric heater for the sleep area?

You can save some money using crap but will pay tenfold to mobile service for battery charging to start and be late for appointment.

Point taken. So what do you recommend? That link you provided for the diesel heater has a very long waiting period before it arrives. How do those work anyway? It says 24-volt. Is it attached to the battery or does it work off of the diesel tanks?

I checked it out. It seems like a good product. But I don't understand...If it runs on diesel, then why does it need a battery? Won't it drain the battery after a full night running? And if that is the case, why not just buy a smaller portable one that heats 50 sq ft? It is 1/4 the price and just uses the battery.
