    I guess to me whatever you agree to work for and make is fair. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. I can’t imagine working OTR for 35-40,000 a year personally. I’d go work an 8-5 job at a parts store or something instead and make just as good of money. People do it though, for whatever reason. Nobody forces you to stay.

    The convenience store I worked at had to actively and frequently chase away any truck parking in their lot. They did this because there is no limit to the number of trucks that will park somewhere if they see any truck on the property. Truck drivers would try to shove 18 trucks into a phone booth. The idiots ruin everything and blame others for their troubles. Everyplace is not a truck stop just because a drive can put a truck there or a driver is desperate for a spot.

    Once new regime (which is really the old regime) opens the floodgates, $20 will be a good wage for CDL A.
