It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

Getting ready to head out with a couple of my boys to do some fishing. The 'ole thread is really dead now, hope you're all doing well.

Pretty much just been doing the same 340mi turn. Giving us on avg 7-8 loads a week. And then throw in the odd load or 2 to fit in for the other truck when my regular run isn't going out

I don't remember my 1st fish was probably around 4 years old. Instead of reeling it in my dad said I turned around and ran with the pole to get the fish on land Lol. Everyone got a kick out of that

Took the boy to an indoor pool this weekend. Little guy enjoyed that. Other than that, just staying busy. Picking up earlier than it usually does for me, here's hoping that keeps up. Got a couple of prospective big fish customers and the like, too.

Thanks Scooter. If any of the three or four big irons in the fire turn into something, it's gonna get real busy around here...

Whaaaat Ca. government is doing a subpar job. I’m shocked that a government employee would notice.

Worked out for the best today. Supposed to be a load and go for my regular gig. Got loaded bout 7:30am snowing like hell. The snow was gonna follow me all the way to jersey. 800 rolls around and the broker for my "backhaul" outta jersey to upstate called asking if will have a truck in NJ tomorrow......sure hold on a sec. Called the other broker asking if they really needed the stuff today and they said no prob putting it off a day. All worked out in the end. Not coming home empty tomorrow. The other truck doing a load of #### paper out of P&G tomorrow

Truck hasn't been out of the yard for going on 2 months now. I always knew I'd enjoy this part-time gig.

The fishing has sure been good too ;-)

That's good for you. I really like to eat fish but there is nothing like a taste of freshly caught fish.
    That's rarity where I live.
My goodness, freshly caught open sea fish beats pork and beef by large in my book.
Which is not to say that I don't like to eat pigs or cows. Also, I do like to eat lamb but it has to be done with care and by a chief who knows how to work it... A Greek or A Turk hopefully.. Poultry too but not as much.
I really would see myself on a little ranch where I retire.

Whenever I happen to visit Smokey Mountains, I would like to have a taste of that goat meat the locals are so famous about...
    I think I am hungry.

Dino soar, Scooter Jones and PPDCT Thank this.
