Crappy weather in El Paso? The sun shines out there 350 days a year! As far as a great place to live I suggest the DFW area. Been there since 85’. Yes we do get the occasional ice storm but that only lasts a day or two. The pile up was caused due to idiots running 70 in the toll lane during freezing rain.

Yes I saw that and it was really bad man. People were running like it was clear weather out there.

I don't know exactly, but I think it starts at like .665 and I know the top out for linehaul is .715!

    Linehaul: .715
    XB: .745
    Team: .785 (I think)
    Team XB .80 (I THINK)

I wouldn’t mind trying linehaul Estes style, but they don’t do that here unfortunately.

It sure would beat being stuck on some meet and turn run with a complete idiot coming from the other end who always brings you substandard equipment, even if you’re home every night.

How rare is it to get on with an LTL company with no (LTL) experience and get a linehaul bid run without having to do the extra board first? I guess it just depends on the economy/staffing/terminal location?

What about guys coming from other LTL companies - Is it more common for you to transfer from one LTL company to another and get a linehaul bid run versus an OTR driver transferring from an OTR company to an LTL company getting a linehaul bid run?

Anybody know if there's any bid runs that go from Charlotte NC to maybe Charleston SC (or from Charlotte to coastal NC or to coastal SC)? That would be a sweet bid run. No snow and no mountains. AND it avoids that endless I 85 construction from the NC border to around the Greenville SC area, which has been going on for the past 2 years since I've been driving OTR and has no end in sight.

    NEVER!

She's making 60k right out of school. I am looking into buying a house 10 min from both of our jobs pretty much. Then I'm going to wait Daytons terminal expansion to be completed by summer and hopefully my buddy can get me in.

I also talked to UPS big wig in Lexington for a feeder slot by me. I filled out the application. Well see what happens.

I'd do Dayton but as far as LTL that's pretty much it. I can't go back to big E until @KaoMinerva moves to west middlesex and runs to Boston every week!
