Sounds like you been sitting at the TA lunch counter listing to a windbag for a little to long. Bet the dude was also a former seal, tunnel rat in Nam, or at the very least a delta force operator.

 

Every windbag has a story to tell, some interesting and some not. It isn't from one of the windbags at a TA lunch counter. It was used from time to time at work and isn't only for those doing the jobs you mentioned. Feel free to use it when appropriate. It's openly defined, nothing wrong with it.

The OP question had been there for about 6 weeks and no one had answered it, which is correct. My reply was in low key dry humor. Perhaps it was too subtle.
