It will take a lot to overcome the memory of my friend denting his brand new kia by leaning his golf bag against it.

Yeah,um I also forgot to mention that one of the criteria on my list is that the vehicle has to have a MANUAL TRANSMISSION-of which there NONE available in ANY current full size pickup sold in the U.S.(and most of the full size pickup trucks new or used are overpriced anyway-I live in a state where residents pay excise taxes based on the value of the vehicle) and used ones aren’t that much cheaper.
I don’t need a vehicle to compensate for shortcomings in other departments!;)
If I was looking for a pickup truck right now I’d look at either a used Nissan Frontier King Cab(had one previously) or a new/used Toyota Tacoma Access Cab(which is the last truck standing here in the U.S. with a manual transmission option).
Incidentally,I’ve yet to see ANYONE driving a Kia wearing flip flops, nylon track suits or go to Starbucks-that criteria is usually reserved for the BMW crowd!:p

Some men make sound financial decisions.
They know women like something big and thick in a man's pants. That's right a nice thick wallet.o_O
Not a scrawny little.... oh wait....that's not your wallet... well at least it does explain the lifted truck:p

No clue, it was 17 years ago. That dent wasn't the first and within a couple of years the car was junk. Meanwhile I'm still driving my 03 accord.

The ones from back then are long gone. They’ve improved since then. Ironically,Honda has gone downhill in recent years-can’t even get an Accord with a manual transmission anymore(they stopped production a year ago) and the used ones are snapped up almost immediately as soon as the for sale ads are put up.

You are either not a parent or a self absorbed one.
Can you not think of ANY reason a person would care about the safety of the car for themselves AND THEIR PASSENGERS...
