A year in with Ozark Motor Lines

I have an application in with them I hope to hear back. They sound like a decent company.

 

I'm struggling with down time on the road. I started at a company where they ran you hard and got you home every weekend to reset. I know this is just a consequence of the HoS rules we all follow. I'm staying out 11 and getting 3 off. But I spend so much time at the truck stop either waiting for my appointment or for hours to roll over it's messing with my head. I feel like they could run me tighter and get me home for a reset.
Good customers with mostly drop and hook so I'm not wasting much time at docks. But it's still wasted time. If I'm in the truck I want to be driving as much as possible.

 

Twice in one week I've had to wait over a day for my next pickup. 34 hours Wednesday, and now 28 hours, Saturday. A couple times my last trip out as well. I've been getting a whopping $100 for being laid over. This is probably going to be why I look for something else.
