Michigan steel haulers would not be in that group, some would not run a log, or stop at scales.

 

the UCR info is on line and easy for DMV and police to access.

The current system is worse than the older version.

The older version was implemented so the states got a cut to replace the fees from selling Bingo Card Stamps.

It used to let you choose how many trucks you listed in each state so an east coast company with 48 state authority could tailor the number of trucks in the western states and reduce your costs though I did get caught with two units going to Cali when they both hit a scale house at the same time and the officer checked and found I had only put one unit in that state. That was the only time I saw anyone check that version.

I can look on line and see that I've paid the UCR for each year since it changed.
