Getting new CDL in Charleston SC

Thank you. A lot of people highly recommend DHT. Nice people. I spoke with them today and will hire in my area. But, if you live anywhere along the east coast they require 4 weeks minimum before getting you home...

@Chinatown I have hope again! Was starting to believe Mega was my only option till 1yr mark...

 

I personally like refrigerated trucking, but many drivers don't want to deal with that.
Understandable though, lots of PITA, but I like the challenge.

Just spoke with Covenant / LandAir
They have 2 positions in my area at the moment:

1: Broker freight, out 2 weeks 2 days off. 51 cents a mile at 6-month exp mark. Full benefits assigned trucks. Detention/Layover/Breakdown

2: Dedicated flex position. Fill-in on for dedicated accounts east on I-35, 100% no-touch freight, out 12 days home 48hrs. Start at a different account every 14 days. Guaranteed pay 1,850 wk. The Catch - Slip seat every 2 weeks no installed inverters.

Not bad choices at 5 months of OTR experience. Going to keep calling the companies listed here and find the best fit. 1,850 a week could buy a lot of Lysol and have cash left over...
