Out of school, no work

Ya know...Connect in Meatspace...We always used it. Meatspace is slang for the human world. I was Army and myself and former .MIL friends always use it. 11B Jargon..I don't know.

 

Ok.....to use your jargon......move into the meat space and pay your dues. We don't get to the cream of the crop in this industry overnight. A new Med School Grad does not become a Brain Surgeon in his first week out of school. If you are former Military, you should know this better than anyone else on this board. You KNEW you would not be a Master Sgt. after AIT. If you really want to establish yourself in this industry.....do the time to let it happen 4-5 years from now you could be on Easy Street!

 

Over the road is not the only path if your only goal is to drive local. It doesn’t make sense it’s two separate kinds of trucking. i’m not going over the road that’s for certain. I will find a job. I’m smart and highly educated besides having all the credentials and a completely clean class a license..eventually someone will give me a chance.

I don’t really believe that there’s that many years of hierarchy and rank that you need to achieve in trucking. Especially when you’ve been driving every conceivable vehicle (besides Semis) on every conceivable Road in North America including Alaska in every conceivable driving condition for 36 years or more. No offense but this isn’t medicine, the army or engineering.

One more question......why re you having such a hard time finding a job as a smart, highly educated individual? I think the more important question is........why are you posting such a question to a bunch of knuckle dragging "Typical Truck Driver Neanderthals on a low life trucking forum? You are apparently much to smart for us.

i'm aggressive, NOT passive. I just don't talk #### personally online like a #####. Theres's ZERO reason to. You're reading too much into what I wrote. I'm not a know it all but I know what I know in 50 years on the earth. So do you. I have no idea why something I wrote here, a person you don't know and are likely to NEVER meet pissed you off to the extent that you feel the need to personally attack me...Makes no sense.
