I think i will apply for a $25 million dollar grant. I will spend $10 million on the salaries of the 5 Board members. Next, i will spend $10 million on the salaries of the 10 company officials. Then, i will spend $4.9 million on office space and $999,980 on office supplies.
With the remaining $20 i will buy a shovel to do the work.truckguy391, snowlauncher, Mattflat362 and 4 others Thank this. -
Sounds like a plan. What ideas would you introduce to help regulate the future of the industry and make it better?
Also, I think it's only open to government related institutions. But it's still a great opportunity to start or adjust a business model to align with the future goals of the gov. Probably will only further secure a companies position in the industry. Especially if they can land a large contract with their idea that surpass the 4 yr term. -
"..principles for national infrastructure projects that result in good-paying jobs, improve safety, apply transformative technology, and explicitly address climate change and racial equity. The funding available for this year’s grants totals approximately $889 million."
The statement as a whole, I understand clearly but that subject I will save for another area of this forum for which I don't have password for yet.
But specifically, where it says "apply transformative technology, and explicitly address climate change" I think Tesla single handedly accomplished this and the proof is other fortune 500 companies following suite making investments in their technology. I left out the "improve safety" part of it out because when you watch Elon Musk introduce the trucks he seems to think that it's cool to make these heavy vehicles faster without first working towards ideas that help improve road safety as a whole. But maybe that in of itself is a good start for the majority of the money to go towards? All that other stuff doesn't need all that much money imo, but I admit. I know little of the industry and what it takes to run and regulate it.Last edited: Feb 18, 2021

Another “we are going to incentivize progress” program. It is just a repeat of obamas infrastructure plan.

Ehhh, most genuine innovations throughout history were more on the basis of "cool" or money-making than inproved safety.
Not fully disagreeing with you about lack of musks forethought on areas of building vehicles, but "safety" eventually weasels its way in after enough people do stupid things and some regulation is brought to bear to cater to the lowest common iq
