In Philadelphia the Pepsi Brokers are terrible.

The thing that they do now is they agree on a rate and then before they send the rate con they tell you they have someone else that will do the load cheaper so you need to be cheaper than that guy.

I tell them to go screw themselves.

Then they had a load posted at a certain rate and just to see what they would do I said okay I'll take it at that rate. They agreed.

Then I get an email saying they have someone that will do it for Less. I said what the hell do you want from me you had a rate posted that you were offering and I accepted and now you want me to do this load for less than you actually were asking for? Well that's just the way it is my coworker has someone that will do it for Less...

So I tell them to go screw themselves.

Is this just Philadelphia or does Pepsi just operate that way?

Brokers are crooks, what's the issue? They have swanky lifestyles to uphold, stay away from that crap. Pepsi Co. probably doesn't even know who's hauling their freight, and probably doesn't care. It's how the broker got it.

I haven’t hauled any Pepsi in years. Always games or low rates or both. Not to mention you better have the guard shack give you a detention slip or acknowledgment on the BOL or it’s declined.

OP, not sure which broker you're talking about specifically but they are crooks. Several brokers broker Pepsi. I've had some good loads but I only take stuff that is for production, meaning usually packaging or empty cans/bottles. Any Pepsi plant near me will make you sit for half a day unless it goes to the production side, where you get unloaded fast.

If you've got a broker playing this game you should out them. Tell us who they are. Sounds like a TQL tactic.

Many many brokers play this game. I’ve ‘booked’ loads and, surprise, it takes them too long to send the confirmation. Sure enough I get a text or call, saying someone offered less and I can either match it or lose the load. It’s absurd. Now I don’t move my truck, and don’t consider myself booked until confirmation is in my hand.

They never answer the #### phone. We've done a ton of Pepsi loads and no issues. But they're huge so luck of the draw

As far as I know it's actually Pepsi itself.

Pepsi Logistics actually I think is the name.

Last year they were good. I did loads that paid really well and they kept their word if they were going to send me a rate con and all of that and I think somewhere along the line they got a manager or something that just decided that carriers are parasites and he's going to have them feed on each other and bid against each other and screw them every way he can and be unethical and everything else.

Like I said I have had them tell me they're sending the rate con and just never got back to me because they found a cheaper carrier, and I've accepted the posted rate and they tried to cut me down from that.

Nowadays I really only reply to mess with them. Maybe in the summer I'll try again and see if it's possible to take them seriously.

    Yes I do the same.

    Another character is Spot Freight.

Had a load booked with them for the other day and they told me yes we'll wait for you to fill out the packet the load is yours so as soon as I got done the packet I called and he said okay we just have to send you the rate confirmation.

So I called and called and called and finally I got the guy and for some reason he connected me to someone else and they said no, no, that load has already been booked.

So I called the guy back and he acted all like what? Then he put me on hold for maybe 20 min. then hung up on me and never called me back so F him and F them. They found a cheaper carrier and he just didn't have the balls to even talk to me. The timing of it was such that I could not find another load for the following day and I could not get another load and be back here before the snow storm hit. So they screwed me out of an entire day's pay.

Not like it was going to do anything but relieve my stress, I had it out with a few of their managers and I think the president of the company and I told them all to go f themselves. Bunch of low-life bottom feeder scummy rats.

I hope whoever is reading this rapes them on the rate whenever they can and otherwise they find other brokers

I think that it's whoever is running the loads in my area.
