For you guys that have been in the game for awhile, which works out better given that everything is the same? Flat rate or percentage?
I’m getting ready to lease my truck and this one company offered flat rate and it made me think about the option. All other companies are paying 82%.
Haulin sand. Flat rate vs percentage?

From my understanding sand trucks can do a lot of sitting and waiting on location, so you definitely need to take a good look at the demurrage pay offered by the various companies.

Sand trucks sit alot! I don't think the guys we use get any down time pay. They all have crap freightliners that looked like thry should have been scrapped years ago.

When we did sand it was load pay based on how many miles away the frac was and detention was 75/hr after 1 hour in 15min increments. It came out to anywhere from 4.00-5.00 on all miles. 1300-1500 give or take per day. Sometimes closer to 2000 if we got 4 loads in per shift. The avg was 3 loads
Own authority. The place we worked for wanted you to have your own #s. I think only a handful of guys were leased on to them. I know we deff made quite a bit more than they did
