I don’t know who, if anyone has said that. Maybe I did hear it before, but it is very true.

And once again fuel prices in my area have gone up. Like I said in the first post when I started this thread:

Went up 40 cents down here because of the “storm”. Diesel went up in my little town from 2.15 to 2.54 overnight last wed into thurs morning when nobody was out on the roads using it.

That's not the only thing they swallow.

Went home last week and remember paying about 1.60 to 1.70 just a few months ago in VA/NC.

Now Sheetz is selling regular 87 for 2.55 a gallon!

I can imagine that people in the NE must be excited to see their new prices with all of those taxes and tolls they pay on top. No wonder they want public transportation.

And they probably don't understand that very transportation is paid for by more taxes. But hey, it's "free", so whatever.

I like living in Pennsylvania but politicians here are insane.

We have a Turnpike that the brilliant genius Ed Rendell decided to take the money from the tolls to fund all kinds of other projects rather than leave it for the upkeep of the turnpike. So now we have tolls that are going to go up every single year into infinity and the Turnpike is still broke. They used the pandemic as an excuse to fire all of the toll takers but even without paying any of their salaries they're still broke.

Now they're looking at any bridges that they rebuild they want to put tolls in.

Couple that with the second highest fuel tax in the country... It's a shame because Pennsylvania really is a nice place to live.

It's obvious that politicians are definitely not financial planners...

Are you kidding? They're great financial planners. Your money goes into their pocket.
