So the boss got me a new to me new ride. 2013 386 with Paccar motor. Truck is in really good shape and I love it. Boss got it from a friend of his and had a starting issue with it. He solved that which was a loose wire grounding in the starter. He had me move in on Tuesday. The central display is black and it , I’ll use radio for lack of a better descriptor, is dead. I checked fuse box on firewall and all appear to be okay. I checked fuse box by clutch pedal and found two dedicated to radio and radio bat, which I assume is battery. Both appeared ok. I put new ones in just to be safe and still nothing. Is there another fuse somewhere or something he and I are overlooking. I’m on the road and can’t access back of unit as I don’t have the u shaped prongs to pip the radio out. Any help would be appreciated. He’s worried the whole unit is fried due to the short. When he picked the truck up from his friend it was apparently working. He said he listened to the radio on the ride home and the screen was lit up though he didn’t do anything with it except turn the volume up

Wire clothes hangers work in lieu of those U pins, or some appropriate size rivets (push the shank in, not the rivet head)

    LTL Bull Thanks this.

Got it home and have power at all the fuses but no power at the harness that plugs into the head unit. Can’t find a broken wire between the two though
