Honestly, the certificate is worthless. You can get it online for about $90 and it's 3 hour course if i remember correctly. There is a 1000 page folder sold at JJ Keller website - FMCSA compliance manual. This is the one you need to read and learn on your own time. Hope that helps :)

As far as you know ? Why not just say I don’t know.If you got a dui 20 years ago it’s on your record as far as not being a problem because how old it might be is going to depend on rather or not your going into Canada it could be a big problem

Thank you for the reply. I will look into doing the online certification I know most certificates dont amount to much but for some reason they make management in corporate feel all warm and fuzzy lol.

I have no idea about going into Canada. Never went as a driver, never worked at a company that goes into Canada. If you asked me if it's a problem going into Canada with that i would've told you I don't know. I'm assuming DWI shows up on your criminal background check, and that's when it might be a problem crossing? I have a friend that had a DWI 15 years ago in VA. 5 years later he moved CA and got a license there. Ever since he's had a clean MVR. I know that 4-5 years back they changed the law that DUI stays forever on your record in IL. So every state treats it differently it seems...

No problem. Honestly, the money is not that good and there's no glory in it whatsoever. :) I would go for dispatch - more action and there's companies that pay performance bonuses to dispatchers.
