    Hi

I have a 2007 International Eagle 9200i (In Australia) with a cummins ISX non EGR, It leaks oil from the oil pan gasket?

Has anyone done the gasket themselves? How much of a pain is it? Do you have to stuff around with front axle etc?

Its my spare truck that I only use 2 months of the year so I am debating if its worth doing or if I will just wash it weekly to keep the inspectors of my back for the 2 months we use it, though I would like to stop it leaking on my driveway lol

    Thanks

Nothing but a lot of bolts to remove. That's why I always like the Detroit oil pans compared to Cat & Cummings (40 bolts vs 10):eek:

Have you put dye in it? I’d definitely be wary of a rear structure leak.

So i think the main leak is actually coming from the starter motor, I am assuming there is a seal between the starter and the block?

Some of the bolts for the pan were a bit loose, so that seems to be ok now I have tightened them up, but it looks like it there is a leak from the starter.

Either rear crankshaft seal or a rear structure leak. Should be no oil inside the flywheel housing.

Yeah, doing some more research looks like it maybe more of the structure leak, will have to try and see exactly where it is coming from

The leak only happens when the truck is running, after cleaning it up there was only drops on the ground whilst it was running.

As it's an ISX should I try putting some gear oil in it? Or oil stop leak? Would prefer a quick fix as it's a bit of a junker truck I hardly ever use.

Sure it’s not also coming from higher up? Oil passages for the head are in the rear and are bad for leaking as well.
